Thanks to the various people who have been poking me about the #pornocalypse news on Steam (July 15) and itch.io (today). Pornocalypse has been an ErosBlog reporting beat since 2013 but I'm tired and broke; not claiming this post adds much to the narrative, just nails it into my dozen-year timeline of reports, for the record:

In particular my ErosBlog post doesn't touch on the way that broad bans on "NSFW" content always end up banning LGBTQ+ stuff, sexual health information, sex worker rights conversations. I've already seen women on TikTok complaining that their menstruation software on itch.io was banned.

ErosBlog post also didn't get into the whole Collective Shout weirdos from Australia who are behind this wave of #pornocalypse. They are new to me. That's a rabbit hole. Looks like a trap.

I am already four hours behind on today's gig work. I don't like being this broke or feeling this dispirited about the adult internet or the ErosBlog project.

Honest talk, today's post should have been three posts. (1) ten days ago about Steam (2) a few days later about Collective Shout (3) today about itch.io)

But I just don't have those spoons or the free time. Is what it is.
