I keep thinking about this post I saw from someone saying they would rather that more people die from cancer than that computational approaches be used for cancer research
the splintering of reality is unbelievable around this.

at least they picked a honest logo
for all that is worth
@zackwhittaker You've got your hands deeper into this than most. Can we really trust anything CISA says anymore?
@Sempf no easy or simple answer, but i think common sense generally applies within the context that we have at any given time. in this case, it's showing scale of an incident. ask why this matters, and who would benefit (or lose) from this information, if any at all. but you're right to be skeptical because our trust relationships can change over time.
Calling for you
And yes I know rectangular watches are not everyones thing but I have a soft spot for them.
In my opinion the most elegant watch in the world is rectangular - the reversible Cartier Tank Basculante.
Just something indefinably graceful and well made. Bit pricey though!!

Dolly Parton and then Tim Curry back to back?
Fucksake. Any queer folk or theater kids should just get the week off at this point.
(Still though, both posted solid high scores, 80 ain't bad)
Sad news today, but a powerful reminder of People Doing Good Things™:
"In the early 90’s Dolly promised every 7th-grade and 8th-grade student she would personally give them $500 if they graduated from high school. This effort, called the Buddy Program, reduced the drop out rate for these two classes from 35% to 6%. More importantly, the program catalyzed the community to provide additional resources to sustain this improvement in the drop out rate."
We are often concerned (rightly) about those that spread hate, but kindness also spreads and has incredible long term impacts on our world. Let's concern ourselves with doing more of that :-)

Vanmorgen suggereerde de mailupdate van @thefirewall dit ook al.
Nu nog de stap maken om het gewoon ergens in Nederland te hosten en DigiD onafhankelijk van #appdwang te houden.
@tinker When I need to record something with audio, I start a one-person meeting on Teams, record the meeting, share my screen, and do whatever I need to record (be it interact with a demo, or watch an undownloadable video).
This trick has worked with other meeting software too, and has always "just worked" for me without needing to fiddle with 3rd-party audio pipeline software (which I have done and have always found frustrating!).
@jblsmith - That's a solid hack. Huh.
