CISA says it observed malicious activity targeting over 100 U.S. water and wastewater systems during July, giving some scale of the ongoing hacks targeting water systems across the United States.

It is breathtaking to me that we still have critical infrastructure connected to the public Internet.
@zackwhittaker You've got your hands deeper into this than most. Can we really trust anything CISA says anymore?
@Sempf no easy or simple answer, but i think common sense generally applies within the context that we have at any given time. in this case, it's showing scale of an incident. ask why this matters, and who would benefit (or lose) from this information, if any at all. but you're right to be skeptical because our trust relationships can change over time.
