Someone at #FOSDEM asked us to put some promotional materials on our website that they could print for an event. There is now a section for that on the Branding page with our first poster:
Keep this in mind when people claim cars mean business — closing Central #Madrid to cars over holidays resulted in a 9.5% boost in retail spending on its main shopping street: STUDY.
There was also a 71% drop in air pollution.

My impression is that Discord is more replaceable than Twitter because you really only have to move one relatively self-contained community at a time rather than the whole freakin' world, and it is a lot easier for each community's leader to say "meet me at [Zulip|Discourse|DeltaChat|Slack|etc.]" than it is to get every noteworthy Twitter account to migrate.
@DaveMWilburn @dangoodin As Dave notes, a lot of this is community-sensitive. Discourse only has a future if gamer kids decide it does. So the question is really whether faking ID is worth it, or if alternatives fill the gap. Twitter was already a millennial project by the time it Nazified; but Discourse still skews younger. I truly have no idea how that will affect inclinations, but I also think any alternative needs to be resistant to further legislation down this path.
Discord faces backlash over age checks after data breach exposed 70,000 IDs
Discord to block adult content unless users verify ages with selfies or IDs.

Trying to decide if I prefer it with a reddish-brown strap. 🤔 … maybe
@ruari The brown one looks good to me.
@lightweight JFC how much solar, wind and batteries could we get for $1B!?
@Salty a fair chunk, I'd say.
@Mrfunkedude Kicking from the insides doesn’t count
@farah yeah it does. 😝
A pitch deck is a lossy compression of reality tuned for maximum appeal. A pitch .md in a GitHub repo is version-controlled, forkable, and transparent.
You can see the entire history of how the founders described their own company.
That's a better signal than gradient fills.

#OLSPub #DigitalSovereignty
Wow, this Gov't - esp Simon Watts - are so ridiculous in their insistence on gas rather than focusing on renewable electricity generation. This $ billion terminal they propose is a dead duck before it's even built. It's throwing good money after bad, digging the fossil fuel hole deeper rather than filling it in. Watts is also wrong that the terminal is faster to build than renewables. So dim and/or corrupt.

If you are applying for EU funding, check our dos and don'ts:
✔️ Use the multiple submission option to avoid missing the deadline.
✔️ Explain how you will comply with legal obligations.

Agentic AI and the Coming “Blast Radius” Problem
Everyone knows about the risks of GenAI, but the wave is already here, and it's far riskier: agentic AI. These are AI systems that don't just generate text or insights — they take actions, execute workflows, change system states, and make decisions autonomously. Think of it as AI with the ability to "press buttons," not just give advice. A new analysis from Keepit, the world's only vendor‑independent, immutable SaaS…

To get somewhat decent O(nlogn) performance we can use a divide & conquer algorithm leaning on the formula's periodicity. As my primary source, https://lcamtuf.substack.com/p/not-so-fast-mr-fourier, quips: It literally goes around in circles!
We divide the sampled input by even & odd indices, recursing into both halves until we get a single sample to return directly.
We merge the results by pairing up even & odd results, calculating even ± odd*e^iτk/N for N samples at kth index.
3/4!
A catch here is that the recursive algorithm retrieves the array's entries in random order, whereas I've already suggested that I want our DSP to read its data in sequence. Besides it'd be easier to write firmware without recursion!
So to turn this into an iterative algorithm we can rephrase the divide step into reversing the bits of the indices (I've stated that out-of-order is fine). Then for each power-of-2 we can iterate over the unmerged chunks of that array, merging them as normal.
4/4.5
I found at least 4, with various degrees of similitudes with discord.
Also, I have to point out the very obvious: you won't be able to leave discord and get the same thing. I know it is silly to point out, but in my experience, it is hard to really internalise for many.
Nobody's asking for identical; just similar-enough (...like Discord vs. Slack)
What are the 4(+) you found?
