José Saramago Municipal Public Library, #Madrid. I didn’t know it and had it on my list to visit. I liked it; very attractive spaces both inside and outside. It’s right next to the La Vaguada shopping mall — almost as its opposite. In a park, with a pond and ducks. The collection is not very big, but I’d say they’ve clearly invested in the spaces…
In the heart of Madrid, on Gran Vía, thousands of Spaniards stood against injustice today, halting the Vuelta a España race in protest of Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza. They placed barriers, set off smoke, and faced the police to defend humanity. The race was stopped 58 km from the finish line and the award ceremony canceled—but their message was heard. 💔🇵🇸
Thank you, Spain. Thank you to everyone who stood with Gaza and raised their voice for justice. If I weren’t Palestinian, I would have wished to be Spanish today 🇪🇸❤️.
