This one was a passion project. It's about how we've used computers for writing, including nroff, LaTeX, HTML, and DITA. There's even a chapter in there about WordStar on DOS. 🤓

I added a ton of references and examples, so you can see how it works. I think the chapters on nroff and troff are my favorite, because they show a really interesting part of tech writing history.

Since Trump wants to govern by #tariff, the Democratic mid-term campaign strategy should make it clear that Trump's tariffs transferred $130B of wealth directly from US consumers to US corporations.

This article details all of the Republican policies resulting in an intentional, massive & unprecedented upward transfer of wealth.

I haven't seen a US news outlet lay it out this clearly; voters should understand all of this before they go to the polls.

@Gina I have. But... I'm a guy, it was over 20 years ago, it has the same language and (broadly) culture, and the town I ended up in is 20X the size of the one I grew up in.

Not sure I'm the ideal person to ask, but happy to give advice if its useful and to give encouragement. It's a big deal. 😊

@cstanhope Oh I definitely thought about it. I don't think I have it in me. You can find the 19 or so videos I made back around 2017-2020. I think the secret to a many successful YouTube creators is 1) no kids or 2) a spouse who can pay the bills and has health insurance. Even then, it requires a dedication to making the videos. A few of my friends are out there making it work!

But the collapse of the neoliberal project is also why many environmentalist and democratic socialist parties and candidates have had more electoral support since the GFC. It's unlikely that Zohran Mamdani could have become Mayor of New York when neoliberalism was still the dominant political framework.

Another example is the UK Greens, who have campaigned for decades in FPP elections that favour 2 legacy parties, with limited success. But recently grew its membership to almost 200,000.

Does anyone have any experience selling used clothing on Poshmark or Vinted or anything like that? We have a bunch of clothing which we would probably donate to charity but poverty means it would be lovely to get some money for it instead.
