Yesterday, the Police & Crime Panel met. I wasn't there. I've stepped down and my complaint about withholding my elected member report is now being investigated.

I'm sad I wasn't in that room. Not angry. Sad. Sad that the structures designed to uphold transparency were used to prevent it. Sad that telling the truth required a formal complaint. Sad that public service can demand so much and protect so little.

But I'm trying to keep my heart open through it.

Die Gemeinsamen Wissenschaftskonferenz (#GWK) ergreift wirkungsvolle Maßnahmen gegen mögliche faschistische Wahlsiege und Regierungsbeteiligungen bei den nächsten Landtagswahlen.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich damit nicht gerechnet habe. Es ist kurz vor 12, aber immerhin wurde es hier erkannt. Missliebige Institute in #AfD-Ländern können geschützt werden, auch die Wissenschaftsgemeinschaften insgesamt sind resilienter aufgestellt.

Il y a 15 ans, le groupe Gaumont Pathé, avait des cinémas Gaumont, ils avaient du mal à se distinguer d'ugc et étant exclus des cartes illimité ils n'étaient plus différenciant et étaient en difficulté.

Ils ont fait un virage de monter en gamme : fermeture des Gaumont, réouverture en Pathé 6 mois plus tard, avec de plus grand fauteuil et des options. ( Je bossais indirectement pour eux )

Ils sont plus que content d'être la marque premium de salle de cinéma.

Wenn dir Ads, YouTube & Co gehören, dann verlieren die Teams von Chrome & Android immer, wenn sie sinnvolle Methoden zum Schutz von Usern implementieren wollen. Das bedeutet dann nämlich automatisch, dass sie dem eigenen Konzern einen Milliardenschaden zufügen und das machen die Chefs nie mit. Zerschlagen ist da die einzige Möglichkeit, denn diese Abhängigkeiten sind es

'capital does not allocate investment on the basis of what ordinary people actually need or want. It allocates investment to what is most profitable to capital, which may or may not align with human needs'....

By focussing on the needs where there is 'effective demand', capital skews its production reflecting social inequalities (which itself has produced).

Economic democracy is the answer.

For example, there are (at least) two entries for a well-known genus of wasps, Chrysis Linnaeus, 1761. One has incorrect metadata, a fraction of the species (95), but is placed in the correct family (Chrysididae): https://www.gbif.org/taxon/LS8V7. The other has 603 species, but is placed in Vespidae: https://www.gbif.org/taxon/3PF5. This means that at least 62,584 occurrences don't show up when filtering by the family Chrysididae.
