Scrolling on the Fediverse sometimes brings up poetry.

Yesterday, the Police & Crime Panel met. I wasn't there. I've stepped down and my complaint about withholding my elected member report is now being investigated.

I'm sad I wasn't in that room. Not angry. Sad. Sad that the structures designed to uphold transparency were used to prevent it. Sad that telling the truth required a formal complaint. Sad that public service can demand so much and protect so little.

But I'm trying to keep my heart open through it.
