"Estimate the total negative impact of a last-minute all-hands meeting as a function of org complexity"

and

"Design a management system that is resilient to the fact that you promoted the wrong person."

*Of course* the nerds restoring original Star Wars from film to spite the special edition have spent over $16,000 of their own money buying reels, having them professionally cleaned, professionally digitised (scanned at 100MB per frame), and then on the storage needed to allow editing of such a huge amount of data. And of course that's going to be nothing compared to the amount of personal love and labour put into such a project.

I'm kinda in awe, and I *love* that people do this.
