@alexchapman @Tamasg Actually getting ahold of images you can properly read of old MacOS installers, especially tiger, is somewhat difficult. It's all archived on my end, IDK if Jake would consider it since some of it is very live. I'm even producing a big single 7z file of my entire macintalk tree, Sequoia Alex and all, for distribution among friends.
If anyone is unfamiliar with Louis Wain, he perfected cat paintings in the late 1800s.
@lowqualityfacts come on now, that house has dish tv. That didn’t come out until the 1900’s.

@drahardja @kimcrawley very easy to talk from a sighted's point of view without even guessing how frustrating is to manage some basic things. I must ask for human help for many everyday tasks, at least where tech helps, I use it without feeling guilty because some fanatic wants to compare me to a criminal of some sort. I'd ask this Kimberly who talks that language: support a blind community 24 hours / 7 days, then come back. Ai -> murder, is like the ones who say that gay marriage is like marrying a dog, or like child abuse. Made of same material. I have read many offenses in my life, but being compared to a murderer because of my assistive tech, it's the first time. I'm 46, let's say you never finish to learn where's the edge of human stupidity.
@elettrona @kimcrawley I don’t think it’s a fair comparison to equate anti-AI to homophobia.
I think accessibility tech is important, but the harms of AI is real and urgent *despite* its use for accessibility. We can’t justify widespread AI use by saying that it can sometimes be used for accessibility, because it’s mostly *not* used for accessibility.
Aight, I need to AFK for about an hour - but I also need $3,000 to save a cat who is the best friend in the world of one of my friends, and I can't do it alone. The operation is serious, but if we get the money the outcome will be good. So this ain't a moonshot. Details here:
A scathing report by French government investigators accuses Pierre-Olivier Costa, the recently suspended president of Marseille’s Musée des civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée (MuCEM), of sexual and moral harassment, breaching rules for granting public contracts, and putting the southern French city’s only national museum “at risk,” according to a Le Monde investigation.

If we want to live in a democratic country, we need to dismantle neo-feudalism, and addressing the extreme concentration of property ownership is key to that. Arguably, a Land Tax is more radical than even a comprehensive Capital Gains Tax, because it targets the type of property people can't avoid rents on.
Both directly - eg on the home we live in - and indirectly - bundled into the price of goods and services provided by businesses who rent premises - we *all* pay land rents.
(6/?)
Similarly, although it's true that people wouldn't directly pay a Land Tax on ...
"Shares, private companies, managed funds, cash, bonds, intellectual property, and overseas financial investments ..."

... these intangible forms of wealth are mainly ways of storing the largesse accumulated by charging economic rents. Predominantly on land.

Omg everyone: treat the US like a pariah.
You know what we are, right now. We cannot be trusted while this family, these people, Vought and Miller, are in the White House and MAGA has compromised the judiciary and legislative.
I see all these countries pretending like the US is sane right now and having 'talks.'
WTF.
Whyyyy are you talking to an insane country run by a demented poopy diaper wearing nazi and his balding nazi sphincter mouthpiece, Stephen Miller?!?
Why?
Protect yourself and make alliances with other countries.
Sorry, global relationships.
Make us hurt.
Make the US feel the consequences.
Create pressure.
Sanction us FFS.

Like, we have a government full of Israeli and Russian assets.
It's being advised and propped up by a bunch of insane pedo nazi billionaires.
A gang of religious white nationalist wackos is egging it on, thirsting to get their chance at pillaging the public coffers.
What the ever loving fuck is anyone doing trusting and dealing with the US?!?
You know what? I've never seen @darfplatypus, @nullpo, @jerry, @nyanbinary, or @theorangetheme in the same place at the same time as each other.

Rheinmetall made my dream product come true: Invisible EV charging.
No giant charging stations in a million colors polluting the visual experience of every city. Just a discrete socket in the curb.
Please, could we agree that this future is SO much better?
@randahl their website has some more info (for others that are curious) https://www.rheinmetall.com/en/products/charging-infrastructure/curb-charger
Socket is water resistant, has sensors to cut power if immersed, has drainage.
IMO a box attached to a lamppost is easier, but 乁_(ツ)_ㄏ there are probably situations where this is better
Aight, we're saving Atticus.
We need $3,000, and we've got a week - which is five days because fucking hellworld banks and such.
Cash ap, Venmo, or Ko-Fi - all accounts are "PaulDitz." Picture of Atticus here: https://jorts.horse/@PaulDitz@todon.eu/117141774897949787
I will have clickable links soon. Gonna figure out how to make my donation now and punch out the copy for the posts now.
Also, it goes without saying but I will say it anyway - I have known Paul almost the entire time I have been out here. This is on the up and up. I vouch for him, and you know I would not do so lightly.
