@Tamasg I meant inside the Lion engine yeah.
@Tamasg Hmmm. I wonder, if one modified the voice descriptor or info plists if you could make them coexist, if the engine is truly modular?
@Tamasg Wait! They genuinely can coexist! Just rename the Sequoia Alex to not match the other, like Alex.SpeechVoice vs. AlexSequoia.SpeechVoice, and you can actually see them both and switch between them both! And it looks as if they really do differ, because when selected they each pronounce some of the things in the speech settings differently.
@x0 so then it would be possible for someone to all the Lion Alex Alex-compact and the big Sequoia one just Alex, LOL. But again, very unofficial. The fact that this is shipping Apple data even today is such a no-no.
@Tamasg Well fuck it, I have it archived on my end and it functions. My partner also has a mac, although it's an M4 one.
@alexchapman @Tamasg Actually getting ahold of images you can properly read of old MacOS installers, especially tiger, is somewhat difficult. It's all archived on my end, IDK if Jake would consider it since some of it is very live. I'm even producing a big single 7z file of my entire macintalk tree, Sequoia Alex and all, for distribution among friends.
