If they want to protest against refugee policy, they should do it outside parliament or the Home Office, don't do it at a time and place where the objective is to intimidate or physically attack vulnerable people, humanitarian volunteers or emergency services.

anti-AI policies are broadly popular, and pro-AI policies destroy communities. this article is an excellent summary of a project going from an apparent (but not actual) anti-AI stance to a pro-AI one, on the false pretenses that AI boosters were subject to harassment and witch hunts. those false pretenses are already common, and you’re going to see them a lot more soon because this is a playbook.

De la darrera manifestació del #11S que vaig anar, la del 2014, recordo la desagradable experiència de tenir cobertura zero tota la durada de la mateixa, només va tornar al sortir del Barcelonés (de la comarca!). @tschfflr This is something that I kept trying to get through to my students. Statistically, students who go to their profs office hours not only do much better grade-wise, but have less stress.
