@koopa512 i tried that yesterday on a .tar.zst and it worked great so i guess you're right! that obviously seems like the right way to make the cli work even if i think compressing an archive like it's all just a big chunk of homogenous data is a crime against humanity. the archive needs to go on the outside like like a zip file imho
@koopa512 .tar.zst is unfortunately super evil though since their stream protocol allows them to insert data blocks that report a zero length which makes it much easier to generate a hash collision. cc @wyatt see https://amass.energy/rustdoc/yzx-unstable/yzx_core/frame/skippable/#privacy-risk-watermarking this was when i decided filesystems are all broken

@mark I should also note that BMDs are an important voting accessibility technology; they allow assistive interfaces for marking ballots such as audio, multiple languages, and mobility aids like sip-and-puff. The issue arises in systems that require their use by all voters, with no provision for directly hand marking the paper for voters who can do so.
@mattblaze agreed. I work the polls at my my local district, and we set the machine up every year.
I have never seen anyone use it in the 7 or 8 years or so I've been doing this (my county moved away from touch screens right around then, and the primary aid system now is bubble sheets and a Scantron machine, not Scantron brand but you know what I mean). But we still do have one BMD at our site, and nobody has ever used it. I'm sure they showed us what the output looks like in training, but that was a while ago (I think I'm due for another session this coming election).
