Selvittelin hieman lisää yhdistysasioita. Ulkopuolisia ei-jäsenten rahalahjoituksia ei voida kerätä jatkossakaan. Eli kaikki mementomori.socialin palvelinkulut pyritään tulevaisuudessa kattamaan jäsenmaksuilla/jäsenyyksillä. Syitä tähän on muutama:
1. "Vuonna 2026 uuden rahankeräyslupahakemusten käsittelystä Poliisihallituksessa peritään 530 euron suuruinen maksu ja muutoslupahakemuksen käsittelystä 173 euron maksu. Vuosi-ilmoituksen käsittelystä peritään 205 euron maksu."

2. "Holvin tilejä ei tällä hetkellä ole mahdollista käyttää rahankeräystoiminnassa, vaikka siihen olisi myönnetty rahankeräyslupa."

3. "Rahankeräystilin tulee olla suomalaisessa talletuspankissa taikka Euroopan talousalueeseen kuuluvassa valtiolla toimiluvan saaneen talletuspankin Suomessa toimivassa sivukonttorissa. Toisin sanoen rahankeräystiliksi voidaan hyväksyä ainoastaan talletuspankissa avattu pankkitili. Rahankeräystiliksi ei siis voida määrätä esimerkiksi pelkkää maksuvälityspalvelua, sillä muuten laissa määrätty edellytys siitä, että tilin tulee olla nimenomaisesti talletuspankkitili, ei täyty."

4. Pienkeräys maksaa 120 euroa 3 kuukauden välein. Matalampi kynnys saada, mutta samat haasteet: kustannukset ja pankkitilivaatimus. Lahjoitusnappi ei silti käy, koska voidaan tulkita jatkuvaksi. "Jos suunnittelet jatkuvaluonteista rahankeräystä, hae toimintaa varten lupa."
Meillä on voittoa tavoittelematon yhdistys, jonka kulut pyritään pitämään nollissa. On naurettavaa, että pitäisi maksaa satoja euroja pankkitilistä ja luvista ennen kuin pääsee edes ottamaan vastaan lahjoituksia.
Yrittäminen ja yhdistystoiminta ja muutenkin kaikki hyvä ja järkevä tekeminen on tehty Suomessa ihan helvetin vaikeaksi. Suomessa ihminen maksaa mielellään 100 euroa siitä, että naapuri ei saa 10 euroa, koska kuitenkin se kusettaa ja viilaa linssiin.
Toivomme siis paljon jäseniä ja pyrimme tekemään jäseneksi liittymisen äärimmäisen helpoksi.

@rolle En itse ainakaan pidä yhdistystä mitenkään ongelmallisena, pikemminkin päinvastoin.
Oleellistahan on se, mitä oikeasti halutaan tehdä ja tehdään, sille vain osittain annetaan viranomaisten hyväksymä nimitys.
Homman pyörittäjien pitää joka tapauksessa saada rahaa toiminnan ylläpitämiseen ja yhdistys jäsenmaksuineen on siihen oiva keino.
Kun yhdistyksellä saa olla omaisuutta, ottipahan oma ja mistään muista riippumaton matolaatikko mieleen - tai mikä serverin konesali se nyt onkaan, minä niistä niin tiedä.

the growing meshcore network was way too much for the 10% duty cycle.
so "region scopes" for channels were introduced, so only repeaters with those set repeat further so not every message reaches full hops in any direction.
this way its way more stable for regions or within cities, but can be a wall for long distances.
our 1:1 message was also not coming through which could be the second reason the transalp-1 and -2 dont work at the moment.

Ja! Bei Bürgerentscheiden in #Heidelberg und #Neckargemünd haben Städte für die Fortsetzung der Planung von Windkraft gestimmt. In beiden Fällen wurde auch das Quorum (20% der Stimmberechtigten) für die Verbindlichkeit des Ergebnisses erreicht.
Ich freue mich. Die nächsten Schritte inkl. detaillierter Umweltgutachten können nun gegangen werden.

I asked here on Mastodon if rooftop solar panels could reduce incidence of roofs catching fire during a wildfire incident. Replies were so negative that I was too intimidated to ask anyone else. I did find a website that explains it. (1) Sparks landing on panels don't cause damage as long as electrical components are properly shielded; (2) use of local solar may cut down on grid-caused fires, and (3) solar power can operate pumps, etc., during a power outage.

Bonfire Social 1.0.5 is out! 🔥
Archipelago mode means instead of open federation (connect to everyone, then play whack-a-mole blocking bad actors), you can now choose to federate *only* with a hand-picked allow-list of trusted people or servers. Communities can link up into an "archipelago" of like-minded "islands" with shared rules, ideal for tight-knit groups, neighbourhoods, assemblies, co-ops, or orgs that want to connect with each other but not necessarily the whole internet.
We also added new admin throughput controls as our latest take on "calm empowerment": simple defaults first, curated overrides next, and full advanced control behind an explicit gesture. In practice, you can keep a busy instance responsive by picking a speed preset, prioritising certain kinds of activity, or fine-tuning each background task queue, no config files or restarts needed.
Also new in 1.0.5:
- Faster search, now powered by Sonic
- Broadcast announcements to everyone on your instance
- Embeddable widgets: put your pinned posts on any website
