The major platforms—Facebook, YouTube, and X—are all refusing to show the trailer for the upcoming documentary that eviscerates the ridiculous pest Elon Musk. So I guess we have to do our part to make sure it is seen.

We have a choice between telling future generations that we let Russia kill, rape, torture and plunder in Ukraine for longer than World War 2, or we can change our actions, so we can tell future generations that we sent the Russians back to Russia where they belong.

Glaciologist Matthias Huss shows that the centre of the Great Aletsch glacier in Switzerland (the biggest in the Alps) lost 6 meters(!) of thickness just this summer.

Eine Mutter schrieb mir privat. Ich hatte einst ihr Kind In der Kita (Nachbargruppe). Ihr Sohn ist sieben, Autist, und er liebt Buchstaben. Er wollte so gern in die Schule. Doch die Schulbegleitung wurde nicht bewilligt. Erst Antrag, dann Ablehnung, dann Widerspruch. Lange Monate vergingen. Jeden Morgen stand er mit seinem Ranzen an der Tür und fragte: „Heute?“ Und jeden Morgen musste sie Nein sagen. Irgendwann hat er aufgehört zu fragen. Den Ranzen räumte er tief in den Schrank. Das nennt ihr Bildungsgerechtigkeit? In seiner Förderschule hat er bis heute nur gelernt, dass er unerwünscht ist.

Ich hab 1989 ne ADHS-Diagnose und nen Grundschulverweis bekommen (Zitat Rektor: "Mir egal was mit dem Jungen ist, hier hat er das umzusetzen was wir ihm sagen oder ich habe ihn ganz schnell auf eine Sonderschule abgeschoben."). Dann kam Sonderschule und Heimunterbringung, am Ende hatte ich einen Realschulabschluss mit 3,6. Medikation und Therapie gabs erst mit Anfang 40 als ich im Nachlass meiner verstorbenen Mutter einen Aktenordner mit der Diagnose gefunden habe und mir plötzlich klar wurde, was in meinem Leben schief läuft und warum ich mit einer Depression in Langzeittherapie bin. In der Akte waren auch die Ergebnisse von IQ-Tests aus der Diagnostik. Ich habe in einem der Tests den bisherigen Maximalwert übertroffen (wie auch immer das gehen soll). Fazit der Psychologen: Der Junge kann, wenn er will. Er will nur nicht.

Ich will nicht wissen wieviel Potential wir als Gesellschaft einfach ungenutzt vergammeln lassen und immer noch verlieren, weil neurodivergente Menschen nicht in die neurotypischen Strukturen reinpassen.

@rachel yep, the very slow time to blow was expected, which is why I fitted a 2A polyfuse there instead of 3A which is the limit of the buck converter. The load was 1.2ohms so theoretically 2.75A but the 10mohm current shunt resistor read only 0.022V so actual load closer to 2.2A.

And a reflow on the hotplate did the trick, there was a short between the charge pump cap output pin and the input voltage. I suspect it was near the capacitor itself but it’s sorted out now.

It’s galling that tech billionaires tell us that letting them destroy the climate to develop AI will allow AI to tell us (somehow? maybe? probably?) how to fix climate change. And even more frustrating that news outlets report this blather without so much as a wrinkled eyebrow.

MY DUDES WE ALREADY KNOW HOW TO FIX CLIMATE CHANGE. We stop spewing carbon into the air; install solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and other renewable energy generation; build mass amounts of efficient public transit; and stop funding industries that dig fossil fuels out of the ground.

AND WE STOP DOING AI.

We already know how to fix climate change, and we aren’t doing it. Even if some superintelligent chatbot COULD figure out how to fix the problem after we turn our world into an absolute oven, it’s bold to assume we would listen to good advice then, because we (including techbros, ESPECIALLY techbros) aren’t even listening to good advice TODAY.

These people are tedious liars and scam artists.
