Perhaps dance more?

Can folks in the Boston area recommend a queer-friendly salon (for haircuts)?
With homophobia and transphobia on the rise here, I feel hesitant to go with someone random. My current stylist is booked out like four weeks.
Appreciate any lead.
I love this vacuum logic project. Such satisfying rubbery display tech.

SSL best-practice recommends using a new public/private key pair for each certificate, even though technically multiple certificates can share a key.
the fuck is "technically" supposed to mean. it's a specification!!!! it has rules!!!!!
While reusing keys is not a security problem per se, it increases the impact of a key compromise.
ridiculous and evil
If anything ever comes out about Romesh it's all over
@TheBreadmonkey Tick-tock.
Bonjour le réseau, est-ce que vous connaissez quelqu'un qui peut assurer une formation à la sécurité numérique pour des étudiants en journalisme, sur Lyon ? Repouet appréciés !

Friends, have you seen the investigation on UK students, including those at Oxford and Cambridge, hiring Kenyans to write their papers and dissertations?
I assume it wasn't cross Atlantic news as the media only seems to be interested in laundering eugenics into the mainstream.
Think about the audacity of them telling Black people that we're subpar DEI hires and frauds such and these students hiring Black people to do their work for them and pass it off as their own.
@timnitGebru shameful, these Kenyan scholars deserve so much more.
"if the world was fair, these scholars would be able to operate on the world stage as themselves"
would love to be part of making that a reality. form some kind of alter-network of intelligentsia outside formal academia that sheds the racist and elitist background that continues to plague those institutions, while retaining the intellectual rigor, knowledge creation, and collaboration. mb it already exists in various ways...
Hi mastodon, I've started learning about the Napoleonic Wars. In general, which side should I root for?

@floatybirb Napoleon was a reactionary jerk. His anti-feminist "reforms" rolled back most of the remaining progress women made during the French Revolution, he reintroduced slavery in Haiti, planted nepo baby relatives on all the thrones he could reach, ruled as a despot, and so on. Not as bad as Stalin or Hitler but nobody's idea of a good guy: annoyingly, his enemies were almost equally bad.
Gary, Indiana is without power for the 11th straight day after storms. This is climate injustice.

Against all skeptics, the Fediverse persisted: It‘s a Sphinx! Thanks Margret for coining the term. To calm all critics expecting forward deployment of paws - and I do see your point🐾 - here’s Carlo properly #sphinxing.
OMFG
For stateless reuse, we can inspect the ticket lifetimes that servers provide to give a hint to the client how long to store a ticket.
THE SERVER CAN TELL THE CLIENT HOW LONG TO REUSE THE SESSION STATE FOR

Like the bit in the first Resident Evil film where the army guys all get cut into pieces? Hell yeah!
hear me out, an open top double-decker bus with a robotic arm wielding a sword.
me at the beginning of the logarithmic curve: haha fuck yeah!!! yes!!!
me further along the curve: well this fucking sucks. what the fuck
The biggest lie ever told is that the only way we can exist as a species is by burning ancient old dead compressed plants and burning ourselves alive in the process. You do not need to succumb to that narrative, even if it's being parroted by everyone around you.
@liaizon slow but steady progress. I recently merged an invite system that makes multi-user instances easy. Currently working on the ui for following other users from within ties. Next I’ll probably look into federating bookmarks between ties instances.
@raffomania have you seen @pppond yet? Would be great to get you two and @betula all working well together!
