Interesting French view on "why Europe should take an interest in Burnham. Beyond an obvious shift in political style, the economic approach he intends to pursue as prime minister aligns more closely with that of the 27 member states and their goal of European sovereignty. Burnham positions himself to the left of Starmer while remaining business-friendly. He aims to turn the page on Thatcherism, promising to restore public control over essential goods such as water, energy and infrastructure, in a country that still lacks high-speed rail."

Sickly hilarious to hear the pro-AI gang trying to talk up jobs that will be created by data centers. Yeah, there will be construction jobs until construction finishes. And then the whole gigantic hyper-scale data center monstrosity will be operated by a dozen people or so. JOBS ARE THE BIG AI LIE. One of them, anyway.
@lauren
Oh no, but our rural community was promised 7 jobs per MW installed 😂

Update, over 2 years later: Pudding definitely seems to understand that doing something with the doorknob results in the door opening. So far, he has tried rearing up and touching it with his front paws, rattling it, and looking at my husband pleadingly.
Having destroyed most of the major Wildberries warehouses in Russia, Ukraine is now attacking Ozon, the second largest online marketplace.
In 2025, these two marketplaces fulfilled 81 percent of all online orders in Russia.
Imagine what it would do to any country, if what delivered 81 percent of your online orders was destroyed in a few months.
The war is coming home.
spent all day looking at various types of computers to go inside my bag (max height 190mm) that are not an iPad:
* Small (sub-12") laptops
* Android Tablets
* Android Smartphone & External Display
* Single Board Computer & External Display
I have come to the conclusion that I should just suck it up and have two bags, ugh. All the little computers suck in one way or another (either they're priced way too high thanks to the RAM apocalypse) or are computationally gimped either by the manufacturer, or sub-par specs due to software bloat.

While I’ll do my best to keep this discussion at a high and non-mathematical level, be forewarned that I’m probably going to fail at least at a couple of points.
he's such a fuckboy i hate him
i really want to use the discrete log generator because it seems like the only one to achieve provable security? and it doesn't seem to share the flaw of the NSA elliptic curve one because it's not an elliptic curve
