I am so old that I remember that Dragon Dictate did an acceptable job at speech recognition without needing „AI“ on a 386 machine with 4 MB, not 4 GB of RAM.

I recently started watching Atlanta (the TV series), and while I enjoy it, it left me wanting more. I couldn't really see Donald Glover's genius in it. Well, I just watched the seventh episode "B.A.N." and... Genius it is (the entire episode is a talk show + commercials, with Paper Boi as a guest of the talk show)

Après avoir posté sur Meta ces deux derniers jours, un truc est devenu clair.
Beaucoup de gens VOUDRAIENT laisser Facebook, Insta ou les deux. Mais une partie de leur vie est toujours liée à ces apps.
Donc quitter ne doit pas être un test de pureté. Il faut commencer quelque part : retire d’abord Facebook de ton téléphone, et ne l’utilise que sur ton ordinateur, quand tu en as véritablement besoin.
NE POSTE PLUS SUR META. ARRÊTE DE NOURRIR LA TIMELINE.
Déplace les conversations avec tes vrais amis vers l’e-mail, les textos, Signal, un appel, un compte Mastodon, ou ce qui marche pour toi en dehors de Meta.

@joachim Avant FB, j'avais mes 2 sites web privés sur xooit..certains de mes internautes me demandaient de m'inscrire..J'ai mis 2 ans.Au début, c'est neuf, amusant..Ensuite on découvre des inepties, c'est le place to bee pour tout les pédo, brouteurs, arnaqueurs.. Alors fb je ne l'ouvrais que via mon ordinateur, en mode vnp. mais je n'ai jamais téléchargé l'application sur mon smart et l'adresse mail est fausse.. depuis mes amies sont soit décédées ou en maison de repos..Ici je suis tranquille

Zijn er wel zoveel verschillen tussen Europese en Amerikaanse (VS) waarden? Dat is ook het hele probleem met de mythe dat Europese tech vanzelfsprekend ethischer is dan die in de VS. Natuurlijk is het beter om je spullen uit #Europa te halen, maar wat is daar het voordeel van als er nog steeds sprake is van globaal #kapitalisme met bijhorende geldstromen. 🤷🏻♀️ Daarnaast bestaat ethisch #AI niet.

Some countries have made traffic fines proportional to income. It’s not a perfect system, but it means getting caught going 30 over the limit costs you the same fraction of your income if you make $20k/yr or $2,000,000.
I believe we need this system for corporate fines, tied to gross revenue.
