A repo host that can remove your repo at any moment because someone can accuse your code of being “vibe coded” is not a repo host I’d trust. It shouldn’t matter how good, bad, or A.I. written your code is. It’s a hosting platform.
Guess I’ll pull all my stuff from Codeberg then, vibe coded or not.
That’s dangerous as hell, because there is no guarantee that your stuff is deleted for the wrong reason.
It’s their decision. But I dislike it.

Can someone explain to me like I have no idea what’s going on, WHY THE FUCK ANYONE IS FUCKING WITH THE WINDOWS RECYCLE BIN FUNCTIONALITY IN THE FIRST PLACE?!
@jpm the recycle bin’s functionality was stale, it desperately needed a revamp.

Right. A lot of people are in fedi to escape surveillance capitalism, and (justifiably IMHO) see Cloudflare as a surveillance capitalism company. And a lot of people in fedi are anti-fascist, and so don't like Cloudflare funding projects like Ladybird or Omarchy. And a lot of people see LLMs -- or more generally "AI" as a political project -- as reinforcing fascism and having huge ethical issues.
The strong pushback is antibodies. Cloudflare dropped wildebeest at least in part because there were blocklists going around that defederated all wildebeest instances. Gab gave up on federation because the pushback was so strong; Truth Social didn't even try.
True, it's very hit-or-miss just what sparks the antibodies. And, opinions differ: plenty of people here think the path to fedi's success is to be friendly to surveillance capitalism companies, or don't think of Ladybird and Omarchy as fascist aligned, or don't think it matters that Cloudflare is funding them. It' complex! But, these are the kinds of complexities people have to deal with if they want to navigate fedi.
So @benpate and @scottjenson , I don't think you're going to change that culture -- and you should really think about what message you're sending when you say you want to try.
@alcinnz
We software devs seem to have a bad habit of not bothering to define our terms. Whilst the apparent definitions seem to shift over time!
Terms like 'server' and 'platform' are great examples.
> Incidentally I frequently myself resorting to linking to Wikipedia or NIST, they not only provide definitions but old-fashioned ones I like!
I use WP so much for this I installed their app from F-Droid, and put it on my homescreen, so I don't have to open a browser and surf to the WP site ; )
I’ve known I was autistic since my childhood, but I just got diagnosed with #ADHD so just starting to learn about it. This was fascinating.

The effects of rejection sensitivity over the course of a lifetime. A lifetime of being told what you’re doing wrong. A lifetime of being rejected and lacking relationships. A lifetime of avoiding anything that could cause more rejection and more pain.
@MichaelaKHulse
> I’ve known I was autistic since my childhood, but I just got diagnosed with ADHD
I'm the opposite. I got an ADHD diagnosis in my teens, but only got identified as autistic in the last few years. I highly recommend the book Wild of Brain, written by a kiwi AuDHD woman who works as a coach for neurodivergent folks, and didn't get either diagnosed until later in life;
One more comment on the Trump regime’s nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia: I am sick and tired of this country cooperating with countries that practice gender apartheid.
Well, right now you have a President and a party that does, too, so it's not much of a surprise.

@tinker I’ve tried that, yeah. Doesn’t seem to help much, but idk that I’m doing the rest of it right, the bag says 2 parts water to one part rice, bring to boil uncovered, then reduce to simmer and cover once the rice/water level equalizes until the water is absorbed. The method I’ve had the best success with is browning with a little bit of oil until it’s showing faint color, then rinsing, then cooking as directed.
Not sure if it’s the oil, the browning, or both that are key, I haven’t been willing to experiment with everyone else’s dinner once I got something working.
@ajn142 - Oh! Yeah just get a rice cooker.
If you need to use a food delivery app/service (I think most of them have a web interface) which is the least bad option for treatment of workers/most of the fee going to the delivery driver:
I will attempt to tip in cash, though I have no idea how to tell a potential driver that and I want to schedule a delivery in advance so I don't know if that changes who picks up the ticket.
I assume all of them will have about the same fees (the only one I could find for sure was grub hub at $2.50 + 15%)
If I was a dictator, any webdev who implements infinite scrolling pages will be subjected to firing squad with infinite ammo

While not impossible, it is annoying to work around!

Why is it undecipherable? Seems pretty clear.
Interesting #Brexit chart shows that more people than those who are now dead who initially voted FOR Brexit now want to rejoin the #EuropeanUnion.
I bet many of those dead would also have wanted to #RejoinEU had they not died.
