@phlogiston I have this working on a Netgear WNDR3800, connected to fibre modem provided by ISP.

Briefly:

To create the VLAN go to menu Network/Interfaces, select the Devices tab

Click "Add device configuration" enter
Device Type : "VLAN (801.2q)"
Base Device : "eth1" (whatever device your WAN interface has by default)
VLAN ID : 10
Click [Save]
You now have a device called "eth1.10" in the list

Switch to the Interfaces tab, EDIT the "wan" interface and change the Device to "eth1.10"

@riverpunk @dalias yeah i was thinking about that. providing a marker with the source domain in mastodon while rendering would definitely enable later client-side hacking. i don't think that has any chance of getting accepted upstream and they recently rewrote their entire rendering pipeline in typescript but it could be done in a fork

@cwebber @GeePawHill 😁 i try to be honest about it. “Sorry, I know I know you but could you remind me of the context?”. In my first two years of uni I kept running into this guy in the canteen that I was obviously in a “👋 but never speak to” relationship with. Only when I finally stopped and asked him how we knew each other I realized he was living in the same building as me. For two years I’ve been 👋 the same guy in two different settings not connecting the dots. At a conference where I’m working full speed soaking up info through my tired ears my skills at recognizing people is below 0, no reason to pretend otherwise.

Some patrons at the library today asked me if there was a way to recycle their discarded 3D print supports and I *know* the machine for it exists but I don't know what it's called or if there's a brand name I could give. Basically I remember it shreds the discarded PLA and makes new filament possible from the waste.

Those which are not on an 4.6 updated Mastodon instance cannot be added yet (poke @admin)

With @BraccoLaetitia, we think we found a small bug : she had to tweak the discovery switch of her profile first off then on for me to be able to add her to collections.

If this bug is confirmed, it is a hidden opt-in collection feature that will really slow down its adoption. Any thoughts on that ?

@hipsterelectron @dalias you could hack something together technically to just hide the preview from being displayed, but yeah, no immediate drop-in fix
