They’re scheming again, I just know it. They have that guilty look. #CatsOfMastodon #RipleyAndJonesy
Clawdbot is an exciting new way to spend $300/day on AI with Anthropic.
It's a personal assistant? and it's a shitty security disaster of course
my theory: Anthropic is going for the mobile game model and inducing gambling addiction in the most horrible SV AI bros

EDIT: oh lol from reddit:
> "clawdbot" is a crypto currency fueled product with loads of aggresive fans
that explains quite a lot
@davidgerard It’s truly heartbreaking to see Pete S descend into AI-fueled madness. Another great programmer got their brains eaten by the delusion machine.
If you write about the messy reality behind "free" internet services: we're seeing #OpenStreetMap hammered by scrapers hiding behind residential proxy/embedded-SDK networks. We're a volunteer-run service and the costs are real. We'd love to talk to a journalist about what we're seeing + how we're responding. #AI #Bots #Abuse
Wonder why the brew was super foamy yesterday and blowing out, but today it's not foamy at all
Russia has suffered 'more losses than any major power' since World War II, report says: https://benborges.xyz/2026/01/28/russia-has-suffered-more-losses.html
@setiinstitute I already decoded the "Galactic Internet", and it's all meowing

i think one part i found difficult about homestuck was its very flawed characters https://shrike.club/@homestucklinebyline/115467251289444414 except for vriska who has never done anything wrong
Racist-ass house dems are now saying they made a mistake voting the ICE/DHS funding bill. Go fuck yourselves, you should've listened to your constituents in the first place!
Wonder why the brew was super foamy yesterday and blowing out, but today it's not foamy at all
...but have you ever used a keyboard with a touchscreen with a keyboard on it?
This is some kind of new, fresh hell, isn't it. That thing is surely an abomination.
My most frivolous "big purchase" was a new Chrysler 200 back in 2011 for roughly $23,000
I still drive it to this day
Still love it.. gonna drive my boy Joey Chrysler until the wheels fall off!
@multiverseofbadness my 2014 Hyundai Sonata has had the engine replaced TWICE, and is plugging away. I, too, will be driving it until the wheels fall off.
i'm vriska and everybody loves me on account of me having never done anything wrong in my entire life

Internal Slack logs shared with The Intercept show outrage over Cook’s coziness with Trump and Apple's silence on Pretti's death. https://theintercept.com/2026/01/27/apple-tim-cook-trump-alex-pretti
RE: https://journa.host/@theintercept/115970247542251391
Everyone I've talked to who works there is considering finding another job or early retirement.
I don't really know what the solution is here. Definitely Cook has to go, but so does every other executive as well as the board. They're all (or at least almost all) complicit in this.
Oooh, we tried to invade Ecuador today? 😬
@ai6yr Oh, hadn’t heard that. Yeah, definitely not allowed, and consulate security staff are, depending of circumstances, permitted to use force to defend diplomatic facilities.

@thomasfuchs@hachyderm.io yeah, I took your advice mostly, though I bought from AliExpress, not EBay. The 128mb CF cards cost about $4-5 a piece and I mixed up vendors. One vendor advertised no-name CF cards but delivered Western Digital cards.
The $10 camera I put them in is an HP Photosmart 120 (1 MP greatest resolution) from 2002 and it looks to produce photos with a greenish tint in direct sunlight and flash. Some pictures don’t have that tint, so I don’t know what to expect.
@jaypeach53 yeah that’s pretty normal for that era of camera
