@arstechnica Part of the problem is the media is loudly and repeatedly stating, without evidence, that consumers need a vehicle with 300miles of range. So often that it has basically become gospel truth.
You only need that kind of range if you spend 6 hours of your day driving and don’t have a place/the time to effectively change somewhere along your route, which is such a small percentage of people that is not worth mentioning. Far less than 1% of drivers.
For them: range extended EVs.

Acosta was given a cabinet position in Trump's first admin.

@mia Naming is always a good evergreen topic. I think a lot of folks still make the error of thinking there are only two ways to deal with CSS: BEM or utility classes. I've spent years trying to convince people BEM != vanilla CSS (like, it's just one particular [very old] methodology), and sometimes I am actually successful. 😅

so what do we mean when we say ids are opaque and you shouldn't extract information from them? well, you have to be careful about not extracting information that isn't actually there.
typically the warning is supposed to stop you from doing things like assuming paths such as /api or /users/username -- because not everyone is going to assign the same resource names in the same ways.
we might infer every resource name starting with /~a/ is owned by me, because that's "my user folder". maybe not

This is the whole locators can be used as identifiers, but not vice versa thing.
So if you DO use locators as identifiers, you're right that you SHOULD not extract facts from them, even though you could.
