Today's Low Quality Ad is for this Trash Panda Pin. Remember, trash panda is a slur to raccoons. But it is an apt description for this gluttonous slob.

Das "ZDF Magazin Royale" mit Jan Böhmermann hört im Dezember auf.
Das ist sehr schade, die Sendung und ihre Kombination aus Satire und investigativer Recherche wird eine große Lücke hinterlassen.
@markus_netzpolitik
Mr #Frog must've evicted the birds and taken up residency. If mosquitoes are what he's looking for, he's in the right place; the #backyard is full of them this summer.

Me: I do not need the mansplaining mansplained. No idea why you thought that might be welcome.
Mansplainer: Buh buh buh why are you so rude to meeeee
---
Me: Replying to someone is demanding their attention.
Mansplainer: Well actually people have different mental models of social media.
---
Starting to see the pattern: mansplainers don't understand consent, but feel VERY ENTITLED to push their uninteresting thoughts into other people's mentions.
@alfredbaudisch I'm guessing years of habits, and maybe the idea that blender isn't up to that level.
@cmdrDiscoCat art pipelines also are all Autodesk dependent (plus imagine all the internal documentation and processes of big studios).
Kākāpō numbers pass 300 for the first time in 75 years. New Zealand’s flightless, nocturnal parrot now totals 325 birds, after a record 90 chicks fledged this season, built on the Department of Conservation’s recovery programme, which started with just 51 birds in 1995. Three managed island populations and radio-tracking backpacks keep every bird accounted for. @adapalmer this bit of hard hitting journalism gives some easily digestible information for the TikTok generation. :D
also the artwork color bleed now extends down into the episode listing
@js New Episodes is what I landed on as well, for wherever.audio. I went with Recent instead of something like "Continue" or "In Progress", since you might want to restart something that completed after you dozed off.
@farseen It was amazing how many assumptions they had - like expecting me to notarise documents (not something we do here) and insisting that my parents' names be printed on my PAN card!
Still, I'm sure there's weird stuff my country does as well.

I had never considered the aspect of consent in this context.
Thanks for sharing your perspective.
A 7 years old Blender bug drove me crazy for 6h of debugging thinking it was me doing something wrong. The bug is still open and unsolved 😁 https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/issues/67093
I worked around the issue in Pixel Art Studio with a workaround/hack.
Pixel Art Studio 1.2 for Blender introduced the Paper Fold engine: lets you work with any kind of UV distribution and mesh topology seamlessly, as if everything was continuous, connected (so less worrying about UVs).
It folds and ties together pixels and selections that are far apart.
Really interesting article on world maps, and why things that people say are "rational" and "objective" aren't
@romli @markwyner But cigarettes, alcohol and gambling are not "engaging with a community and learning stuff". Which is the positive side that blanket bans and age verification prevent.
Treating social media like cigarettes, alcohol or gambling equates socialising with harmful behaviours and substances. But social media (and forums and BBSes before it) is not harmful in itself.
It's Social Media Company behaviour that is harmful. It's the behaviour of some individuals that is harmful. You don't fix "could be exploited by surveillance capitalism, misled by disinformation or targeted by malicious and/predatory individuals" by banning the potential victim until they're 18 and hoping that it's all magically not a problem!
And that's an important distinction in directionality. Legacy age restrictions are "you may harm yourself with this". Social media bans are trying to apply the same approach to "someone else is using this to harm you".
@danaukes hello, so nice to stumble into another local here on fedi!
Only a few short weeks ago...
@6ff334e and rclone works with NextCloud?
Rclone can sync WebDAV folders so it should work. But last time I used it, I had to manually sync the folders.
Synching might do what you need
https://syncthing.net/
And as a last resort, mounting the WebDAV share is possible with davfs

We are a shoes off house to the point where we have front door shoes and back door shoes and you go back in the door you left from so your shoes stay in the right place.
I think when the maga era is finally over and we’re able to fully quantify its effects, we’ll see it as one of the largest transfers of wealth from the working class to the wealthy in American history
So: you started vibecoding your FOSS project? And now you don't really understand your codebase anymore *without* asking agents what's happening? And you basically outsourced all your favorite part of your passion project to managing a robot that doesn't care? And you're more burnt out than ever?
I have to say that it's very difficult for me to feel sympathy for this. I see more people reporting on this, but it feels fairly predictable. But it also feels like it was clearly where it was going.
