If there’s an “algorithm” for what Israel is doing, it can be captured by a simple “if-then” statement: “If it’s necessary for Indigenous life, then try to destroy it.” This is the logic that settler-colonial states have been following long before digital computers existed. No need to invoke “AI.”
If we accept the premise of an “AI-powered genocide,” then the issue isn’t racist, Zionist ideology itself; we simply need experts to help us fix the computer, whose “decisions” were less than perfect.

@mttaggart Responsible use is maintaining your role as the expert at all stages of the project. AI is a tremendous tool but has been made so easy to misuse by making it entertaining and our little code "buddy". You really hit many of what I consider responsible AI practices. Two of my main rules...

Review everything. If you don't understand the AI's code, the subject matter, references, etc don't commit until you do. Don't ever accept auto-commit.

Security is key. I can't stress that enough to new devs. If you didn't tell your agent to make it secure - it's not. Start your security audit.

Friend of mine from work is on the local paper's website today, being all Angry People In Local Newspapers because the council refused him permission to drop the kerb outside his house AFTER he'd spent £1500 modifying his driveway.

And, like, I get where he's coming from, but wouldn't you seek permission before spending all that money?

Same in the US. This is why America will never change in the realm of racism because white men fear loss. They don’t want to lose their money, homes, etc. from doing “the wrong thing” for strangers, so they walk the line just enough to call themselves liberals or “the left” without making any real meaningful sacrifice for change. America is very much a posh mirror of Israel. White people keep white people in check and is why white supremacy, like Zionism, will remain in this country.
