Friend of mine from work is on the local paper's website today, being all Angry People In Local Newspapers because the council refused him permission to drop the kerb outside his house AFTER he'd spent £1500 modifying his driveway.
And, like, I get where he's coming from, but wouldn't you seek permission before spending all that money?
