@kate oh what a dream! I kept a potted gardenia when I was in grad school that unfortunately succumbed to mites, but the memory of that scent at my desk remains strong

Eventually we'll all be paying for our media via a donation amount we set up to be auto distributed to creators based on the percentage of our time spent with their work, out of all the time we consumed media for that month. It will liberate creators from advertiser and business concerns and put independents on the same level as big media corporations.

But to get there, we need a fiat transfer protocol. Maybe somebody who will benefit could give them some press.

Dude. That is a fundamental misunderstanding of "progress". Progress means moving forward, to grow. The slop machines don't do that.

These bastards are killing the open web, moving us backwards by making it even harder to self-host anything, driving us towards centralization, which is the exact opposite of progress.

They steal and plunder, and make the life of everyone outside the billionaire / fascist class miserable. That is not progress.

Companies keep firing people "because AI will take over their jobs", only to re-hire them at lower wage, because the AI absolutely can't. This is not progress.

It's being pushed and forced on us. That is not progress.

@GrapheneOS I'm sorry I will edit/retract my post, following your request.

My point was that there was a lot of ambiguity in social media posts, with messages implying that GrapheneOS left France - as in, no longer served French users and my point was in clarifying that you no longer felt safe having servers in France... but that French users for now can carry on. That's it. I feel all this ambiguity will certainly scare potential users away - and that would be a real shame.

I love your project, I'm using GrapheneOS and wish you the best going forward

I think I might try making the zucchini pancakes with crème fraîche recipe from last week’s #SaturdayPaper for dinner tonight or tomorrow night. Something about the description of cooking with a kiddo nearby makes it sound like it’s a very do-able recipe for regular humans like me (not just qualified chefs).
