@David kanpai managed to steal more than your content ?

@alexip718.com

Clearly it was a 'rogue agent' that did it.

Jazz has nothing to do with country music, of course. And it's not just talented accompaniment, or old hands who could play that shit after you dragged their drunk ass into a cold shower and shoved an instrument in front of them.

And yet.

It *does*.

@jpm have you considered just putting a UART or RS232-UART header onboard instead?

Never have I ever felt more certain that my future stack of choice for computing will be "none of the above"

normalize the idea that general-purpose software doesn’t require administrator access to run on your fucking computer

Does anyone know of a tool that can check source code repository for signs of auto-generated code or commit messages without itself using a generative model backpropagation/ transformer?

Obviously it would need to use some kind of AI, in the broadest possible sense of that term. It might even use something that could be described as "machine learning" or "neural networks" or "genetic algorithms". But not the Trained #MOLE (LLM).

Looptober 17: Chet Sample

Found a Chet Baker CD at a yard sale in the morning, chopped it into something that reminds me of electroswing, a thing I actually like.

The colonization of the sacred lands of Paha Sapa or Ȟe Sápa, also known as the Black Hills, is one of the most well-known land thefts in American history. The discovery of gold in Ȟe Sápa has spurred 150+ years of tragedy and land exploitation.

And then, just then, after they realize what a brilliant accompaniment it is, and how it never touches the melody, and how it backs that melody so fucking hard no listener *ever* forgets it, and how it comes from a person who has been playing for so fucking long, and just fucking *thinks* like that.

Then they're ready to learn about jazz.

You being here is an important step. The Fediverse, with all its flaws and problems, is closer to being an open space than any other "social" network. But you have to put in a bit of work to make it your safe place. Block, mute and ignore without fear. Share your solutions and let them find new friends. Put ideas over your ego. And enjoy the successes that other people share. Encourage them instead of "yes, but"ting.

OK. I stop now. Have fun. Dance. Cook. Read. share. The Open Way :)

there's a crow sample in the new Avalanches album

I'm carbon dating myself with flash internet nostalgia 😅

Woah, someone remade the Flash editor? 🥺 (sort of) https://www.wickeditor.com/#/about

I never noticed that FediDB had an apps section.

https://fedidb.com/apps

and not only does it look slick, have loads of useful filters...

but now it's a wiki!

You just log in with your fedi acct & make changes.

@mttaggart Congrats and 73 :)
