@dalias There's data on the TV, but it's not all going anywhere. Standard practice for voice activation devices looking for wake words locally. I read LG's statement and their practices look completely normal -- it would be ridiculous for them to lie. All the "well, they COULD do this or they COULD do that" arguments I care not about, I care about what they are actually doing, because pretty much every single damned device we have these days COULD do all sorts of nasty things, theoretically.
