How can a mother save her family while watching their lives fall apart, piece by piece? 🥀

Mahmoud is fighting a life-threatening infection. Sham is sick. My girls’ grandma needs meds. My daughters are hungry, and Ariam needs milk and diapers. We could lose the land our tent stands on if we can’t pay the rent.

I’m exhausted, terrified, and don’t know how much longer I can hold us together. 💔

I am Om Sham (Lina, 31). My husband Mahmoud Abu Shamalah (31) was injured in war in both legs and is now wheelchair-bound. His right foot is at risk of amputation — it has a 15cm bone deficiency requiring bone grafting that isn't available in Gaza. He needs to travel abroad for the surgery.
