AI AI AI... If you've had any sort of conversation with me recently, you'd have been bombarded by my over-enthusiasm around AI.. i'm not sorry. I was an early skeptic, and probably a bit late to the party.. but here's how it happened. A couple weeks back (6 to be exact) i was scrolling through someones excitement on here.. and something kept nagging at me, "you must be missing something".. everyone talking about AI was so wildly excited, and i just couldn't see it. This time around I couldn't let it go, i must get to the bottom of this.. so i reached out to someone who i know is leading the conversation not just online, but inside his own business! (Simon Ellis). and maybe that was the only lesson i really needed.. "who is going to lead this" So i did. That night i broke Claude, and honestly i didnt stop.. (every night that week) i was up vibecoding, watching videos, building anything i could think of, breaking it and building it again.. from a few chat prompts to real automation and use cases in hours. I was in. Monday morning first thing, i mandated Claude to my 15 direct lines.. and I opened it up to anyone in-office on an opt-in basis. But the mandate was the easy part.. we put a proper AI adoption plan behind it.. weekly 'show-and-tell' sessions, people teaching each other what they'd figured out.. and thats where it really took off. It stopped being my thing and became ours. 6 weeks later, 50+ Claude enterprise accounts floating around and a constant "can i get more tokens" murmur in the office.. we are well on our way. And i am BLOWN away by what my team has pulled together.. in 6 short weeks i can honestly say peoples lives have changed, and operations will never be the same. Software companies have long tried to own their ecosystem and lock you in, making integrations expensive and almost impossible.. AI has completely levelled that playing field. The value going forward sits in the data they hold of yours and the way they translate it and the services around it they offer.. but software itself will soon become free, i am almost certain. Now that things are in motion in our world, the scale of the change coming is becoming really clear.. i have some thoughts i'll be sharing over the coming weeks. For the early adopters, prepare for the upside.. adoption is inevitable, it's only a matter of time. But as i keep telling anyone who says they're late.. you're only 6 weeks away. p.s. my mom always speaks of these defining moments in our lives... below is a snap of one of them being organised.. | 20 comments on LinkedIn
