Interesting. Thanks for the clarification.
@mastodonmigration why does he mention Zionism? 🤷♂️
@mastodonmigration In Canada I had heard about the issue of Jared/Inanka wanting to develop some motel/resort in what is essentially a national park and lots of protests, but was unaware they had been going on for 128 days.
Note: the USA public is also unaware that the UN Human Rights Commission is investigating the USA's treatment of humans who are abducted and detained at ICE concentration camps, with 28 dead that UN is aware of.
@mastodonmigration There are probably a lot of reasons, one of them being US outlets don't cover much foreign news anymore & outside of AP, don't have international reporters.
Voice of America probably would've covered it but now they're mostly kaput.
@mastodonmigration it looks like Meta banned some people who are associated with the protests from Instagram too: https://www.politico.eu/article/meta-blocks-accounts-politicians-journalists-and-activists-protesting-jared-kushner-linked-albania-resort/
So there might be an attempted cover up afoot.
@mastodonmigration And not just American media. It was mentioned here in Italy, at the beginning, but not on every media.
You know, Italy has built and runs an illegal (for EU standards) detention center for immigrants in Albania. They sailed a war cruiser of the navy to move there like three disgraced people, that EU said were to be taken back to Italy.
The whole operation costs €100millions periodically, and it's run by a government close to USA.
So, it's preferred to not mention Albania here.
@mastodonmigration Just FYI, AP News has had some coverage (no paywall)

about AP News:

Yeah, I didn't see much coverage of it neither. But the wiki article about it, has quite some info:
@mastodonmigration There are multiple protests in the world not properly reported on by media of other countries, some going on for longer than a year. But this post is reframing the protest heavily into local narratives. One look at the list of demands will make it clear that Edi Rama and his cabinet are the main target, not "Zionism and Epstein class".
