I like finding Audiobooks narrated by famous people. One of my favorite books, The Fireman is read by Kate Mulgrew. I loved Gareth David-Lloyd’s narration of The Call of Cthulhu. Now I’m eyeing Ann Patchett’s Tom Lake performed by Meryl Streep.
Anyone else have similar experiences with audiobooks? #books #audiobooks
@farah The Fireman sounds intriguing; I will keep an eye out for that. Another Star Trek Alumni who narrates audio-books is Wil Wheaton.
I especially like when the author reads his own book. Of course, all of Cory Doctorow's books are great, but my favorite (if you can find it) is a novella called "Grail" read by the author, Harlan Ellison. It's a mind blower.
@Ambulocetus I don’t really care for Wil Wheaton’s voice. I heard Ready Player One. It was mid. Not sure if it was the book or him

Also Stephen Fry doing Picture of Dorian Gray. Kenneth Branagh's Heart of Darkness. I almost feel like calling out famous actors for ... acting .. is cheating though. :-)
@farah I’m half way through the Silmarillion narrated by Andy Serkis. He’s famous-ish. Of course, his LotR was spectacular as well.
