Mastodon cross-posting is now fully-supported in https://some.pics! I tried to make everything as simple as possible, but I'd love any feedback you might have on the setup.

To get started, click the new "Manage Mastodon cross-posting" button on your Pics dashboard page in omg.lol. Authorize the connection to the Mastodon-compatible instance of your choice, and then configure your preferences. You can opt to automatically post all new pics by default, or manually post the ones you wish. You can also set your desired posting visibility (public, unlisted, or followers only).

Pics can only be cross-posted if they include alt text.

When cross-posted, your pic will be attached as media to the post; the post will also have the text description (separate from the alt text, which is attached to the media itself), a link back to your pic's page on some.pics, and any tags that you included on some.pics (which show up as hashtags on the post).

Changes that you make in some.pics should sync up automatically on Mastodon. And within the some.pics dashboard, you can selectively remove any published pics from Mastodon, as well as manually publish other pics that you uploaded before enabling cross-posting.
