I highly recommend everything Jon Ronson writes or records, and his newest, "The Castle: Adventures in a World of Unraveling Men" is no exception.
He goes into weird corners of the world with empathy returning with fascinating portraits of people and groups. I always come out afterwards thinking for a long time about his subjects and the questions about society he brings up, whether they be porn stars, psychics, psychopaths or men adrift in modern civilization.
