@brembs Yeah, I'm not a fan either. However, they do the catnip part very well. I posted something on there last week and (according to LinkedIn) it got 4,000 impressions (whatever that means). Engagement elsewhere is lower.
Having said that, I treasure all the interactions I get on Mastodon. Quality over quantity and all that.

There is this relatively new tool to measure your reach here in the fediverse: https://rstockm.github.io/fediwings/ Sure, it measures not the same as Instagram/LinkedIn/etc.
Left LI quite some time ago. Hardly used it anyway. Didn't do anything at all for me.

@brembs I didn't know about those alternatives. I guess the power of these networks comes from their coverage and levels of usage. Even if they are a toxic mindfuck like LI. It’s undeniable that in the last 6 months the old SciTwitter crowd has become more active on there.
