I'm amazed by the very few roads drawn on this continental map for a 1989 Shadow World RPG supplement.
Look how this one deals with the three rivers that debouche along the western shore of the Gefting Inland Sea. It's about 260 km from the N to the S river mouth. The map has no settlements marked. 1/2
@mrundkvist surely there would be a village and inn every journeys distance along the road. Tho boat travel should always be quicker and cheaper for bulk stuff ?
the barges of the lake have vast bandwidth, but terrible latency, and of course one must pay the fee to the Great Lindworm of the Lake ...

Road crosses N river at mouth. Clearly a town and a bridge there.
Road crosses middle river way upstream. No need to provide any link to shipping!
Road crosses S river way *outside* river mouth, necessitating a long unnecessary ferry trip! 😄
