I'm back at social.lol and thought it was a good opportunity to post a proper #introduction.

I'm Robert (he/him), and I live in Stockholm, Sweden.

Since 2017, I've worked as a home inspector. It's a job I love for many reasons, the main ones being the luxury of meeting people and seeing places I would never have encountered otherwise.

I've been blogging since 2002 and am still trying to figure out how to do it right. My current blog, robertbirming.com, has somehow managed to stay alive since 2023.

I also love tinkering with CSS themes and creating small tools for the indie web. It's just a hobby, but a satisfying one. Maybe that's the thing, it's satisfying because it's not work.

When I'm not hanging around in dark crawl spaces or getting hung up on dark mode contrast drift, I like snapping photos, reading books, and watching movies.
