So the smartass part of my LG WebOS TV died, leaving only a dumb screen with HDMI ports, no great loss as I'd grown to hate it. At first I was prepared to go out and buy an #AndroidTV turd, and #jailbreak it. After some thought, I decided to install #kde #plasmabigscreen on #fedora on a liberated #chromebox
I am so glad this project has restarted, plasma bigscreen has so much potential. There's not a lot of apps I hear you say, it's called #waydroid we got all the apps kids, all the apps.
Notes on the native linux apps I've tried.

#kdeconnect no input, not usable as remote

@AlexanderMars I use KDE connect all the time, it's awesome, including as a remote... for me.
@happyborg with plasma bigscreen? I get no input, no pointer or remote buttons, nothing. Same for my steam controller, I think they call it lizard mode. All of this works on my laptop with basically the only difference being plasma bigscreen.
@AlexanderMars ah, no I don't have a connected TV. I was meaning with my laptop.
