As Zack Polanski (rightly) points out:

'How can the government designate new data centres as ‘critical national infrastructure’ when they don’t even keep records on who is using them and what they are being used for? '...

The reason, is all the better to render protestors against Data Centres as 'terrorists'.

This could be a major vote winner for the Green Party of England & Wales, and specifically for Polanski's (likely) by-election..
