'elite expressions of ordinariness are important regardless of whether they are intentional, in part because they forge an illusion of solidarity that obscures very real cultural & class inequalities. If the British public does not accurately perceive the level of inequality or does not feel that the level of inequality that exists is unjust, they may be less motivated to challenge its foundation'!!
