Looks like Markwayne wants to go to prison as an inmate and/or owe treasury some money.
18 U.S. Code § 592 - Troops at polls: “Whoever, being an officer…of the United States, orders, brings, keeps, or has under his authority or control any troops or armed men at any place where a general or special election is held…shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both…”

Markwayne said, “ICE isn’t there to patrol the polling places. We’re there to enforce specific threats.” Enforce threats? Ought to have said enforce the law in _countering_ threats, but a Freudian slip has him saying honest.
Armed men under his authority and control should never be within 200 meters of a polling place.

@lauren yes, but he may also be breaking various state laws too if he actually goes through with such deployments.
@davidaugust Not impossible, though a tough slog against federal entities. Note the problems with prosecuting ICE agents.
