For the folks that are increasingly fed-up with #Apple and the other #US #tech #fascist bootlickers, you do not have to continue supporting #fascism and surveillance computing. If you've been scared of trying GNU/Linux you should stop being scared and try it out.
I'd used Apple tech for 30 years and have had no problem switching to GNU/Linux. I've written a series of blog posts about the process linked below.
I'm mostly using the Mint distribution of GNU/Linux on a 2018 used Lenovo laptop that cost $250 on eBay. It boots as quickly as an M1 MacMini and opens/runs apps just as quickly. Not only are modern versions of GNU/Linux easy to test run but also easy to install and use. Mint looks very nice and if you prefer the look of macOS it's not too hard to do with various customizations. Or try the @elementary distribution of Linux which, out of the box has a macOS feel.
