Yesterday I posted the same post about my new film to both Mastodon and Threads.

On Mastodon, my post was boosted 105 times and had a flurry of activity. On Threads: 1 boost.

Because on Threads, if you mention something on the competitive platform YouTube, the Threads algorithm kills your content.

Choose the honest social medium. Choose Mastodon.

@randahl The lesson here is that Mastodon/Fediverse and whatever Threads is are dead platforms compared to Tiktok, Facebook and X. 105 "boosts" is nothing, and so is anything <10k.
