One should never forget: the people who control access to #GenAI technology today, will tomorrow be the ones who exercise total control over #FOSS projects which embrace GenAI.

We can tell first hand, that setting up a policy for that is not done overnight. But you could at least "strongly discourage" until you have one, no, #FDroid ?

@aburka Being centrist is already bad enough — if a "centrist" position is ever correct, it's correct *in spite of* and not because of being centrist. But that Debian has so completely shifted the window such that an extremist position like "AI can be used ethically" is centrist?

@aburka It's so rich for *f-droid*, infamous for labeling absolutely everything as being an anti-feature, is letting themselves get gaslit by boosters into allowing the mother of all anti-features in.
