@dangillmor doubt it is gone forever. wasnt there something similar with a famous streamer, where after MS said everything is gone. after it went viral, MS was able to restore it?
@dangillmor Feeling good about severing all my device links to microsoft and will exit completely from google on Monday.
@dangillmor Cloud is ok for backup, but only that. And not your only backup. Onedrive, like teams, is simply not fit for purpose. I have office 365 provided by a client, but I don't use it for anything else and all the data is kept local.
@dangillmor shit, thank you!!!
@dangillmor MS has been squashing the futures of small, medium and non-profit enterprises since its inception. Extermination of competition might be the company's most important business line.
@dangillmor "One backup is no backup."
@dangillmor Microsoft's behaviour is despicable, and there is no need to rely on their products. For every Microsoft product there is an adequate or even better open source alternative. The article fails to mention this and instead sounds a if the organisations only had a choice between a "free" (as in unpaid) and a paid licence with Microsoft. This borders on negligent reporting. #Microsoft #foss
