@cwebber You are correct, their legal strategy is broadly to define all opposition as terrorism. They are attempting to create a narrative that there is an international leftist conspiracy against the USA. It’s a means to then attempt to connect domestic political groups to this international “conspiracy” as a means of targeting them with the state apparatus originally designed for the war on terror.

They’ve been wanting to do something like this since the 1980s.

what annoys me is that we're not taking advantage of our power here. most would rather keep their nice but conservative relatives away than focus moderation only on harassment. we've somehow managed to browse a web full of shitty sites for decades and it didn't become a Nazi bar.

Assuming this is becoming a trend in the western world that's accelerating toward the extreme right. What's the strategy for the technical left? Become more decentralized, teach setting up ad-hoc systems? Become more hidden?
