Not loving the increasing frequency of motte-and-bailey terms of service announcements.

Lost count of the number of times this year I've witnessed arguments about ToS changes where the parties were referencing *different* versions of the ToS published within 24 hours of each other.

@sarahjamielewis unrelated, but what does motte-and-bailey mean un this expression ? I am award of the meaning of motte-and-bailey castle (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motte-and-bailey_castle) but I can't make the link here...
