After a long period of planning, learning calibrating and setting up a dashboard in #HomeAssistant, I have temperature and humidity sensors in every area of our damp house, and one outside. All to help understand the damp issues in different areas and see the effects of any improvements we make.

The blue line peaking near 70% is outside. The steady green line at the bottom is my #HomeLab which emits ~30w and keeps itself warm in a cupboard.

@happyborg This is the kind of setup I keep meaning to build and haven't. I'm still at the hoping-to-add-z-wave-thermostats stage just to get four locations covered, so a sensor in every area with an outdoor reference line is genuinely enviable. How many points did you land on in the end, and roughly what did it cost to get that coverage?

@Snuggle2476 I have 15 locations including outside (one doubled up, so 16 sensors in total).

I think the.sensors were about £15 each ($20?).

They're ZigBee, so add £20 for a USB SONOFF Dongle. Someone told me WiFi is better than USB because it's not messed up if you need to move it.

I'm very impressed with #ZigBee so will use that where possible for other things. (I have WiFi plugs nearer to the HomeLab that aren't reliability connected, but all my ZigBee devices are.)
