I filed a bug report about that chronology a good while ago now. They're not displayed in order of receipt, sadly, but in order of what appears to be their publishing or release time, which could be an alternative choice for ordering them, maybe, but maybe shouldn't be what is in the menu as "list by date" by default.

@jon @Vivaldi Just added Vivaldi to my collection of browsers and really liking it so far. One small feature request: could you add "Force Paste" like Brave has? It boggles my mind that so many sites won't let you paste passwords. It's like they want people to make passwords short, then reuse them.

I started using Vivaldi a few weeks ago, and have successfully ditched Google Chrome.

@jon @Vivaldi I'm sorry, but this actually makes me less interested in trying Vivaldi, which had been rising on my list of alternatives. I'm tired of every app obeying Zawinski's law of software envelopment. I'm tired of having to wonder "do I really want this app to have access to many aspects of my life?" and thus becoming either enshitification or exploitation targets. I'm tired of apps that stop focusing on doing just one thing well.
