@cstross space helmet furniture might have been the previous decade?
Some of us were quite impressed with space travel in those days, even some of the grownups.

@cstross Hah!, a fraud, everyone knows serious gaming is unpossible without having feet firmly planted on floor, to get leverage legs->core->torso->arms, for absolute top acceleration/positioning of mouse and clicks. That chair would leave me rolling side- and lengthways like I was soapy in a bathtub.

@cstross I’m slightly amused that that horror is labelled as ‘ergonomic’ by various sellers.
Maybe it’s possible to adjust it so that it doesn’t destroy your spinal column, but don’t set it up in the way that they’re displaying it.
